, I?ve never really had the expeirence of traveling alone, it?s almost always been as a couple. I?ve gone SIGHTSEEING alone but I always had someone to go home to at the end of a long day. But I have to say that I kinda enjoyed me, myself and I. I got to decide how long I wanted to spend in a place without having to worry about the other person getting antsy and wanting to move on; I got to decide what time my day started, and when it was time to drag my tired butt home? you get the picture.?I feel there may be too many discrepancies between our expectations??I agree with you on that. I can be very anal about timing, pre-planning, keeping on schedule, etc? (though I?m not that bad anymore), and can't seem to function well in groups of more than 3 or 4. Got into an argument with Jochen once while travelling across Germany with 2 of his friends. We missed our train and I just flipped! Gotta work on my flexibility I definitely would love to try a proper trip by myself just to see how my endurance and determination would fare, and how street-smart (or travel-smart) I am. Nevertheless, like you, I would definitely prefer a companion, provided it's someone who shares similar ?travel habits? and expectations.
