We have found the garden of eden! We are in a small town called Mindo in the middle of a cloud forest about 2.5 hours north west of Quito. We have been here for 4 days now and do not have any immediate plans to leave. As Scott said, we did a 5 km hike through the forest to a waterfall where we went cliff jumping...even me! We leave Quito today and head north to the highlands of Otavala. We are anxious to leave the city and so very excited to see the highlands and its indigenous culture. Also Otavalo is known for its weekend market. We have been told people from all over the world come to Ecuador for this particular event. We will be off soon, Adios!
