It's our last night in Stockholm and we've had a blast. The weathers gone from sunbathing in t-shirts by the lake to playing in snow on the beach in full winter gear.
We've ventured on trains (tonnes of them), boats & a tram as we've explored the city. Skansën was excellent, a huge park where people live traditionally and there are oodles of Nordic animals. The children's museum was also great with lots of wooden play sets such as planes, houses and a story train to ride on.
We've lounged at Uncle John's and Auntie Rox's a lot too where we have eaten homemade cottage pie (grans recipe), homemade chocolate balls (traditional Swedish recipe) and lovely (but not homemade) cinnamon rolls.
Kayla has stayed there the whole time, she will be so upset to leave :(
So at some point tomorrow we begin our 1400 mile trip back. Its weird to think that even though we are heading home its far from the end of our holiday.
The plan is to stay in South Sweden (where we stayed on the way here), Denmark, the Netherlands and France and to arrive back home on Thursday evening. That's the plan but nothing is booked between here and France so we'll see how we go, google served us pretty well on the way here so maybe it will on the way back too!!
