Today was blumming hot. Not a cloud in the sky and even the breeze was warm. We headed off early to the beach at Montana Roja and stayed there until early afternoon.
We had a couple of breakthroughs with Edward today, the first was that he came into the sea jumping over the waves. The waves weren't small either with people riding body boards together back to shore. Edward flitted between the sea and his trains, he made tracks for his trains in the sand and sat on a blow up octopus as he played. Kayla spent hours in the water jumping the waves and giggling non-stop. I tried to go out past where the waves were breaking but ended up being swept back into shore....the sea showing me who was boss!!!
When we got hungry we drove back to palm mar for a big lunch at Pearls. It was great, we were so full that none of us wanted to move.
The kids decided that next they wanted to go in the pool. Edward had found some arm bands in the apartment so decided to try them out. At first it was great as it gave him total freedom to go round the pool himself but when you mix that with Edwards confidence it becomes crazy. He was jumping in, having races with Kayla, wanting to be thrown from my back or shoulders etc....he even made a friend called Mariana who spoke no English but I don't think Edward realised that.
Kayla as usual spent more time under water than on top of it and has perfected her handstands and rolls. Tomorrow she wants to buy a scuba diving mask set to play with so we won't see her for hours!
This evening for the first time we stayed in the apartment, the kids entertained themselves ad the front of the apartment with bouncy balls and watched Peppa Pig. They were on their best behaviour as they want to go to Loro Parque tomorrow and they even went to bed without too many delay tactics.
