Today began with exploration of the coast from Abrigos to Montana Roja. We went to a market at Golf Del Sur where Kayla got her hair braided by a friendly Africa lady who tried to get us to buy Edward some scary African face masks...he opted for a plastic sword instead! We had a full English breakfast at Pearls for a treat. The kids dragged us to the slide first and made us search for geckos so by the time we got there we definitely deserved it. You can see why the Canaries got their name, there are dogs everywhere it seems everyone has one and then there are a fair few which clearly aren't owned by anyone. Woohoo Loro Parque day. The day started badly with Edward falling and cracking his head on the wooden door frame which made him feel a bit sick and put our day out in doubt. He soon perked up though so we set off and stopped regularly to check he was ok. When we got to the north the clouds were hovering just above the motorway making it difficult to see the signs - we hoped the pilots flying into tenerife north airport had better technology!!
