Woke to the sound of rain tapping on the roof which sounded ace, the kids were a little sad that they couldn't play on the park but soon got over it by role playing peppa pig episodes which ed has on loop on the tv.
Half our journey was in Germany's industrial and graffitied North West, at least it was roadwork free and in parts quite quiet. Ed slept through it all. We stopped for lunch as soon as we got to the Netherlands, midway through our butties we realised that we'd misjudged it by a few km and were actually still in Germany, still given the size of Germany it was a milestone nonetheless.
The Netherlands and Belgium are pleasant drives, we had a few breaks for a rest and even stopped for a mid afternoon pizza slice as a treat. The only time you need to navigate from the main route is when circling the Antwerp ring road.
We pulled over just before France to see if we could turn the camera detection off on the sat nav, using camera detection equipment is against the law and subject to fine. Luckily we could because the direction to the site were full of twists and turns!!
The final ten minutes of our journey was through tiny villages with narrow roads, level crossings and little bridges which we crossed over quickly with fingers crossed.
The site is great and has the first English camp mates we've encountered in a fortnight. The kids made friends on the play equipment and stayed out till bedtime.
So now is our last night in the motorhome, its going to be strange to be home again, we're pretty sure ed thinks this is our life now so he's going to be really confused :)
See you tomorrow England.
