Ok so we are syked for heli-hicking! Blue ice caves, bottemless chasms to jump over and a heli coper ride to take us up there to see it all. Bring it on!... and on comes the rain... OK... I take back what I said about Santiago being different to any other city in South America... I was clearly dazed by the snow-capped mountains (which we have not seen again since the day we arrived due to the mixture of fog and smog). We went into the centre the other day and it´s the same situation as before... only walk down the main streets, homeless everywhere and grafitti covered buildings. I think we are getting too used to South America now and need...

Well we have arrived safely into Santiago, Chile, and it has certainly exceeded our expectations comparing it to the rest of the cities visited in South America. It is very clean, no graffitti, no sign of poverty within the centre and immediate suburbs and you can see the snow-capped mountains from wherever we are. We are staying in a house/hostel in a lovely area where you can see the mountains from our bedroom window. It´s kind of like a homestay... we hav...
