Despite this croc looking like he is about to chomp into something, or pounce, he is actually sunbathing and conserving energy. We were told that they are able to slow their own heart rates down to about a few beats every 3 hours or so they can conserve energy. Being at the front of the boat looking down at this croc was a little daunting but he didn't move at all but for blinking in the end.
