Today we had to be up really early for our tour to the Blue Mountains with Oz Experience, 4:30am we were awaken by a bag rustler which was really annoying seeing as we were having to get up at half 5 anyway! Our tour guide, Gummy her name was took us to a place to see wild Kangaroos. There was a group of 5 roos hanging around, they were not at all fussed that people were gathering around them, they were really tame in comparison to the ones at work, letting people stroke them and everything! We got back on the bus and went for morning tea at a place called GlenBrook (i think). After a quick bite we were back on the bus to head up into the mountains.
We had literally just started our trek into the park when someone screamed "SNAKE". Everyone was putting their cameras right into its face to take pictures when the guide told everyone to get away from it right now! She said it was a brown snake and phoned her boss who said it was a miracle nobody got bit! So far so good. Everyone on was on edge not to vear into the foliage lining the path from then on haha. As we walked we came across waterfalls and walking underneath outcrops of rock so you were having to duck down to get past. Our guide got us to do the call for help into the canyon "Coooeeeeee"! As we carried on the views were stunning. Our fitness was about to be tested on the last stretch all of it was uphill so we were all nearly passing out. Our guide made us lunch at the lookout point where we could see the Three Sisters rock formation.
After lunch we headed down the path of 800 stairs descending into the canyon where we saw a Lyre bird foraging about, very rare to see them according to our guide! Our path was leading us to the cliff face railway, oh my god it was steep, you were practically laying down in the carriage.
Well I think that is a long enough blog entry for now ta ta!
