Laura's adventures
However the glacier walk was topped by night ski-ing in Queenstown.
A little unsteady on my feet as it has been 10 years since I last ski-ed however a mulled wine soon did the trick and I was racing Kirsty down the slopes, granted they were only green runs!
This was before a failed attempt at a skydive in Lake Wanaka - no no the shoot didn't forget to open it was cancelled due to weather (thankfully) much to my parent's relief I suspect
The following day we headed up to Glenorchy where they filmed the Lord of the Rings and went horse riding. Again not an experienced rider it took a while before I got the swing of things but I was soon taking Monty through the Mountain rivers and even managed a trot.
Next was a pretty heavy drive through the middle of the country only stopping to make my saddle soar worse with a quick bike ride round Lake Takepo. Next was Akaroa where I swam with the World's smallest Dolphin and Kirsty got in the water for all of three seconds - scared that the eels were gonna get her!
We have now come to the conclusion that I don't like falling off things (horses, bikes, etc) and she is certainly not a fish but we both are trying to conquer our fears.
So we left Christchurch yesterday, wish we had longer as there is so much more I would like to see and do there
