Today we had our breakfast and checked out of our Resort. We went in a taxi to the airport. We had lunch and walked to the boarding terminal, lined up and showed our passports and went on the plane to find our seats. They gave everyone a bottle of water and a refreshing tissue. It took us an hour to get to Hanoi, when we arrived in Hanoi we collected our bags and we went in the taxi to our hotel named Holiday Gold hotel. After we checked in and went to our rooms we decided to explore the city. We went to markets and walked by the lake, when it was late at night we walked back to the hotel to sleep.
The next day we had our breakfast and went off to go to Vincom centre, 2 and a half kilometres away from our hotel.
On the way we stopped at shops before we went to Vincom centre, we had lunch at Thai express restaurant, after lunch we looked at shops.
We walked back and stopped at Lotteria (like McDonalds) for an ice cream.
Then we walked by the lake with a little castle on a green island in the middle of the lake as night fell.
Mum and Dad booked a Ha Long bay tour through the hotel, when we got back to the hotel while Jessie, Nanna and I went up the stairs to our room and we turned on the fan because it was hot in the room.
Today we woke up early because we were going to Ha Long bay, firstly we had breakfast, then we were picked up by the bus.
We went on the bus for three hours, we jumped of the bus and walked down to the dock before we went on the boat and had lunch.
At Ha Long bay we went on a bamboo boat at a fishing village and the local fishermen rowed into caves that opened up into a bay surrounded by large cliffs, after we went to the dragon caves with an amazing legend, it was very colourful with neon lights. People put money in holes for good luck, there are shadows of people and carvings of people.
After, we headed back home to Hanoi it was another three hours to get back home we arrived at our hotel at 8:17 pm.
We woke up and got dressed and headed down to go to breakfast.
When we were finished we went to the park, then some Vietnamese students came over to where we were sitting and asked some questions about English and so we taught them vowels, Aussie songs, antonyms and synonyms and we told them about our selves as well.
Then at the end we had a photo with them.
We spent the rest of the day walking around the city looking at the old buildings and stopping at the shops for the air conditioning. We had dinner and went to bed.
Tomorrow we leave for Hong Kong.

Sally Cole Hi Laura, well you have been very busy the last few days. The tour to Halong Bay sounded really good. I know Uncle Andy loved it when he went there. I love the photo of you and Jessie with the Vietnamese children. You all look very happy. Love, Nanny Cole xx
