Kia ora from New Zealand! Arrived here safely after a slightly bumpy landing on our flight from Fiji! Spent our first afternoon here finding somewhere to stay and wandering round the city centre. Then in the evening we went to the cinema to see "An Education" which was pretty good and nice to do something different. We then had a ridiculously long sleep of 13 hours on as we were really exhausted, despite 4 days chilling on Fiji! We're staying in a huge backpackers place, it has 500 beds, but is very central with lots of cafes and restaurants nearby.

Today we got up late and spent the afternoon wandering round the city centre and the marina/waterfront. We then met Dane and Larissa, a couple we had met in Africa and they took us out for food in the east side of Auckland to a nice waterfront area called mission bay. Tomorrow we are heading out to Waiheke island, a pretty island with beaches and vineyards and then friday we pick up our campervan and head north towards the bay of islands.

Will write again soon when we're done something more interesting!
