Gunlom - Today we drove to Gunlom on a red dirt bumpy road. Gunlom is in Kakadu National Park. We swam all afternoon in a waterhole at the bottom of a waterfall. September 11th We got to Mataranka yesterday. I was so excited to go swimming in the Springs. When we were on our last trip it was the place I learned to snorkel when I was 3 and Mum said I loved it so much. The spring’s water was fresh, clear and warm and like a deep creek. Sunday 8th - NT It did not take long for us to cross the border of QLD and NT. The land was so flat all the way and once we got into the North it also had lots of red dirt. September 6th- Cloncurry This morning we drove into Winton and went to the opal shop to have a look at some opals. Then we drove hundreds of kms and got to Cloncurry. Then we went to a shady park which cooled us down. After that we drove to an old abandoned town and mine. The town shut down because the mine shut down.
