This mermaid statue was made by one of the Calsberg owners who wanted to sculpt a ballerina he was in love with. When she wouldn't pose for him naked he used his wife instead but with the ballerina's face. This statue is one of the bigest landmarks in Copenhagen... not really sure why though.
