Finally off, after packing the car to the max with enough food to feed 2 hungry teenagers for 18 days, plus 35L spare diesel, 2 spare tyres, repair & recovery equipment, 60L water, clothes, tents & essentials.

Set off after Taj finished school and Michel work. Off later than expected but do the 112km to our first stop in less than an hour and a half.
Hoping that 3 days enforced rest (driving up North) and antibiotics get rid of post-Covid chest infection.
Last night of luxury in a cabin at Northam Caravan Park. Keys have been taped to the office door. Very clean cabin with kitchen/dining and a bedroom off each end (no doors!), bathroom and, most importantly, great heating.
Enjoy bought lasagna, garlic bread and salad (to the kids delight). Kieran prepares the salad, Taj the dishes, all enjoy a game of charades before early night, ready for an early departure.
Trains rumble past through the night.
