The Hottest Town In Australia
The thermometer at Marble Bar, which holds the record for the longest heatwave ever, anywhere in the world. For 160 days in 1923 and 1924, Marble Bar recorded temperatures that breached the 100 degrees Farenheit heatwave mark, while the hottest days on record were in January 1905 and January 1922, when it reached a sweltering 49.2 degrees Celsius.
