Up at 5am to enter Vatican City [AMAZING]. Visited St. Peter's cathedral which contained many works of art by Michelangelo. Also, went to the Sistine Chapel, the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. Took a crazy ride on the subway, glad I'm still alive. Loving it here in Italy.

Toured the ancient city of Pompeii, the victim of Mount Vesuvius. Had lunch in Pompeii, then off on our 4 hour bus ride to Rome.

Arrived in Italy after an overnight cruise from Greece. Visiting the Amalfi Coast in Campania and Mount Vesuvius, Europe's active volcano.

Olympia, Greece

Three hour bus ride to Olympia, where the Olympic Games were first played in 776 B.C. One of the first olympic events held was wrestling. Also seen were the ruins of the Temple of Zeus. In the evening, headed to Patras to catch the overnight cruise to Italy.
