Hey guys, in Brisbane now!!! Last night in Surfers Paradise was ok but sooo full of young hip people that me and Caroline felt like a right couple of oldies (and really stood out as backpackers - dress sense) We both decided that we desparately need to treat ourselves to some new clothes and accesories - miss just being to open a wardrope (how material are we!!) Surfers paradise at night was pretty much like a Saturday night in town at home, so decided not to stay out too late (plus I am full of cold and think Caroline is catching it too) but hey life goes on.........

So arrived in Brisbane this morning and absolutely love it, soo glad we made a stop here instead of going straight to Noosa. Its such a great mix of old and new, so pretty and all set around a river. You catch little ferries to different points along the river just like a bus!! Today we went to South Bank which was beautiful gardens, markets and this artificial beach.

Just got back to hostel now, which is one of the best we have stayed in, has a great bar attached. Theres so much that we see and do that sometimes its hard to explain - its fab!!!

Going out tonight (treating ourselves to meal out - we have this thing where we eat one night out then the next cook our own at the hostel). Tomorrow morning we have until 2:00pm to wander around the shops in Brisbane before heading onto Noosa.
