Singapore is so hot it is unbelieveable! Yesterday we jumped on a city tour bus and had a tour all around the city - it is massive. There is a place called 'Little India' which as the name says its like India, there is also a China Town and more shopping malls than you can ever imagine! Arrived in Singapore last night, all a bit daunting, taxi took us to our hostel which ended up being in the redlight district so we got him to take us somewhere else and ended up paying for a hotel. Don't know anything about Singapore so just trying to find out where to stay so we can sort out Borneo, if it proves to be too much hassle we might head straight to Thailand?

So we both plucked up the courage and did a bungy jump!! We did The Kawarau Bridge which was the worlds first bungy jump site. We were both absolutely petrified. Caroline decided to jump tandem with our driver and I went it alone! It took us both 2 attempts, first time I absolutely crapped myself looked down and just kept saying 'I can't do it, I can't do it!!' which isn't the bets thing to say to gear yourself up to jump. Wanaka was a very quaint town set around Lake Wanaka, beautiful mountainous scenary. We stayed in a lovely hostel which was more like a hotel, we had an ensuite with a bath which we were both excited about. So after a long soak in the bath and some proper pampering we headed out to a Thai restaurant for dinner. We did our 8 hour glacier hike today - amazing! The scenary was stunning and you don't realise how long you are walking for. It was quite hard work at first but you soon get used to it. We were provided with some very fetching outfits and had to wear proper walking boots with crampons (spikes that stick into the ice). Walked through some amazing crevices and hiked up some pretty steep slopes - it was quite full on! Check out the pics!! Staying one more night...
