Wednesday 16th Feb 5.30pm Auckland

Have just arrived at the hostel after what feels days of travelling! Everybody always wants to know about the weather so I'll say that is warm but not sunny. Feels a lot different to England at the moment!

Anyway so I got put on an earlier flight on Monday night, so I had to rush through customs to make sure I actually got on! This did not mean however that they did not have time to ask if I was actually over the age of 16 before they could frisk me!!

Anyway first flight was fine and then I found myself in Dubai airport with no idea what Dubai money was. Anyway I went to an ATM and it turns out that a starbucks is around 16 AED (if anyone ever needs to know). Also some woman asked me if she was in Dubai yet, when we were in the airport??? Then the heel of her shoe came off and she refused to accept it when I tried to hand it to her - why is it me that always get stuck with the weirdos??

Just got off a 16 hour flight, with a brief stop in Brisbane, in which I was asked again for a random security search - why me?? I also had to explain to him why although it said Northern Island on my British passport, I am not Irish! Anyway, many disney films later I am finally here and I've already had a mini bus ride around the city and it looks nice! Just off to have some drinks and explore the hostel and maybe sign up to some trips!
