After leaving Melbourne we hired a camper van and drove the Great Ocean Road which was amazing. We then went to Phillip Island where we saw the Penguin Parade where hundreds of little penguins waddle up the beach! We then headed north and went to the Dandenong Mountains. It was freeing and our van wouldn't start in the morning! Once on the road again we went to the Yarra Valley and did some wine tasting. Going further north we drove through Ned Kelly Country and then to Tallangatta. The landscape here was amazing. A whole town had been moved in the 60's so that the governement could make a reservoir. As there hadn't been muxch rain for ages we could see the remains of the streets and houses and hundreds of dead trees sticking out the water. It was quite surreal. We then drove through the Snowy Mountains and passed all the ski resorts! We then went to Canberra where we stayed with Suzi for a few days. We had a really nice time and saw quite a few of the sights in Canberra such as the Parliament House. After leaving Canberra we spent a couple of days in the Blue Mountains which were really nice.
