This city is amazing! It only really became a tourist spot after the Olympics but now it is a very large income for Spain and the region. We visited the beaches there, man made and the sand is imported from Egypt (they are stoked that someone wants to buy their only natural resource!) and once again walked. We walked from the Sagrada familiar down Gracies and La Rambla where we saw all of Gaudi's main buildings, who was a very big fan of absinthe and as a result his designs are unique and very interesting. We did a two and half hour walking tour of the old city where we learnt a lot about the history of the city. HISTORY is AWESOME! Churches that have been built by the people, roads that used to be s*** streams and art by Picasso were all included in the tour. If you like architecture this is the place for you. We visited Park Guell which once again has some of Gaudi's designs and a great view of Barcelona. Then we visited the inside of Sagrada familiar, which is still being built! We hired an audio guide and took turns and relaying the information to each other and our new friend Pete. The building is amazing with so many different intricate details. I thoroughly enjoyed Barcelona and would return there in a heart beat only for longer than 3 days…
