Hi Guys

It doesn't feel like we have achieved much over the last few days as we have spent most of our time on dodgy equadorian buses! After 9 hours of death rides on Saturday we arrived in Cuenca. As we walked around the ghost town looking for somewhere to eat we were informed that alot of places don't open at the weekend which wasn't ideal as we were only there for the weekend.

Sunday we walked around the town centre and took some pictures, we couldn't go in anywhere as everywhere was closed. In the evening we managed to find an Indian Curry house and we all got excited - how sad! haha! It was a shame that everything was closed as Cuenca looked like a really nice city.

Yesterday we had another load of buses (7 hours) but again we didn't get to spent much time there as we were there for less than 24 hours! When we arrived in the afternoon Tom went with two others and hired motorised carts, that you could drive on the road even if you didn't have a licence! They drove up the mountain road and visited a couple waterfalls. Kim went for a hike with a couple of girls up the near by mountain. Last night we had some great food at a pub/restaurant, Kim couldn't resist ordering roast chicken with potatoes and veg to go with her glass of wine - lovely We both finished off with apple pie! The chef was Irish so some of the food seemed familiar - like the brocolli, cauliflower and cheese bake!

This morning Tom stayed in bed and Kim and Audrey got up early to go horse riding for a couple hours. We have had a late breakfast and we are now off to Quito in a bit. Can't believe we have reached our final South American destination already!
