Howdy Ho People!
We arrived into San Pedro early Monday morning, when we got there our accomodation was double booked so we got up graded to some brand new bungalows. We were the first people to stay in them, they were funky and modern, much better than where we were suposed to stay. The weather was scorching hot, not humid, really dry which meant it was bearable for most of the day. We chilled out on the sun terrace until 4pm then we went into the dessert to go sand boarding. It was such good fun but hard work as we were in the middle of nowhere - that means no lifts like in a ski resort, so we had to drag our boards whilst walking up the sand dunes! The guy that took us sand boarding done a bar b q for us in the eveing but he got funny about the payment and we all ended up getting thrown out of his house half way through the night - haha! On the walk home we saw three shooting stars the sky was amazing. This part of the world has the clearest skies anywhere.
Today we got up late we were thinking of doing another activity but the guy that organised them was also the guy from the bar b q - no longer on speaking terms! Instead we lazed around on the sun terrace getting ourselves prepared for the three day dessert crossing to Uyuni in Bolivia. Leaving at 8am tomorrow to begin our crossing - eek!
Talk to you soon.
