Hey dweebs, hope this finds you all feeling ticketyboo and rather splendiferous. Well, we've touched down in New Zealand (we've been here 3 days actually) (see how we're getting better at keeping you uptodate?). It's beautiful here, though a tad cooler in temperature and it certainly feels nicely laid back. We've picked up our new van for the next 2 months, a lovely Toyota Highace, basically a bigger newer, more kitted out version of Beastie, which suits us perfectly. It's called Woodpigeon, named by the company not us, and is decorated with pictures of . . . woodpigeons - we're so rock and roll. Anyway, we set off from Auckland and are heading north up the coast; tomorrow we're going kayaking around the Bay of Islands, followed by a hefty 5 hour walk (we need to get fit in time for the South America 31day trek) and then pretty soon we should be reaching the hot spring beaches where you dig your own hole and relax all day and then we're heading to Lord of the Rings country followed by the Wiatomo Caves (spelt something like that) to go tubing in the caves and to look at glow worms - sweet.
