I found your website by accident/co-incidence. So I am asking a question---what have you done for vehicle insurance--if anything?
and, do you have a carnet de passage or are you paying customs fees at each border?
Regards,

Looks like you're in Rwanda at present, so probably not much chance for an Internet cafe. We're just curious as to how things are going, after all the hard work between Moyale and Isiolo. I showed your diaries to friends of us after they had read our accounts, which were rather uneventful, compared to yours. We sailed through that stretch without much of a problem, even though we could only do 2x4. Hope you are fine and enjoying the gorillas. We will stay on the lookout. Best of luck with the lower half of Africa! Andre

Hello Both (& Biggles!)
Extremley happy to see that your travels are going as per plan. In case you are driving thru Zaire/DRC, do keep in mind that my mate Phil Marker (husband of Arti from Delhi?) is looking after the DFID office in Kinshasa. Arti's cell is +24-381-011-5327. It looks like I may be be in Jo'burg on work - for upto 3 months - starting sometime in early Feb ... fingers crossed.
Look after yourselves and enjoy the final leg!
Big hug...
-U.

Well done guys, you've nearly cracked it. I've checked the map and it looks like it's down hill from now on, so if Biggles starts struggling, whack it in neutral and free-wheel all the way to Cape Town.
All the best,
Liam.

Havnt been into your webb site for a while, what with Christmas and the new year, it makes life in the UK seem very dull as the rain pours down from a grey sky. I am really looking forward to hearing about the childrens home ( when you get there) What a great start to the new year you have both had we appreciated the text from you all and as you can imagine we had to drink several toast to you all .!! Take care on the last 10.000 miles with love Hazel

Happy New Year. Looks like you are having a fab time - lots of new/different experiences and memories forever. The picures and postcards are fantastic and you seem to be smiling in nearly all of them. Enjoy the rest of the trip and make sure Ant looks after you when you arrive!! Lots of love Nicky

I see the red dot is currently flashing over Uganda. Don't forget to sample the banana wine, drink some beer from long straws and visit the gorgeous volcanic SW of the country. Love the photos and the stories. Keep them coming! Have a fantastic 2006 xxx
