I have followed with fascination and envy the wonderful experiences you are enjoying on your travels through all the countries you have seen - well done both of you for being brave enough to take it on. Having had the opportunity to visit Ant in South Africa several times and been to Kenya I can identify with just some of the thrills and scenes that you have been lucky enough to see and I am still in awe of elephants, just love seeing them and will keep on going back for more. Happy Birthday Camilla - I can't believe it is 30 years - and I hope you enjoy the rest of the trip, you get to share some of it with Ant and that we get to hear all about it when you get back (we are planning a trip of a lifetime too - but not as bold and big as yours!). Camilla and Rich- Im sitting in my office in Chicago looking at pictures of my friends from London traveling in South Africa! How small the world has become! Im glad that it hasIm enjoying your travels as much as you are (and so are many of my friends)! You both look amazingly refreshed for the amount of travel youve completed and I cannot believe some of the photos! Anyway more compelling Kennington-cape town viewing...Bloody hell Mills what a birthday,,,beats the hell out of my Dynasty do! You both ooze relaxation and happiness from from my screen...its a huge inspiration to see you like that and read your positive words...and i especially admire your valiant and constant G&T or wine tracking down for the evenings pre-dinner cocktails! i neednt have worried so much about you being lost in the sahara, or eaten by hippos...you have breezed passed them, and taken some jolly good pics of the hazards to boot! Not too much to report...just got back from a hilarious weekend away for Alice (who went to rwanda and did same gorilla trek) 30th in Lincolnshire. She hired a gargantuan manor house that was pure luxuary, 25 of us went...with hot-tub, sauna etc, 3 nights of eating, drinking and very silly fun..great!

Thanks for the email. Reminded me to catch up on my reading. Happy birthday, even if I am three days late. That microlite flight over the Falls must have been something! I envy you! Also the lunar rainbow - never heard of it, but why not? I imagine it was just a ghostly arc, without much colour?
