7 weeks till I leave for the airport bound for Cairo to start my big adventure. Planning is in full swing and things are finally starting to come together. London weekend is full of working out what exactly I should sell, throw or ship. Things are selling already which is just as well considering I was informed by my work post-room that I receive the most packages of anyone in our firm of 700+ people! My office buddy refers to this as spenditis, which she feels that I am currently experiencing a flair up of.
Today I decided that it would not be excessive to take a one week break in Morocco in September, but actually essential for my sanity if I am going to survive the remainder of my contract in my current role. So flights booked to leave on the 8 September. Additional silver lining is that I can test drive some of my new Africa appropriate clothes, shoes, hats and sunglasses.
Vaccination shots are booked - nerves have set in - you need a lot of shots for Africa and no, the nurse is not willing to super charge one needle and just do the one shot. Yes, I did ask... you would too if you were in danger of passing out or puking when in the presence of needles.
