After a great week in Kenya, it was time to head back to Dubai for a few days before the main purpose for the blog began, the backpacking across Asia, Aus and ultimately Nz.

Both Sunday and Monday have been pretty relaxed - Sunday we went for lunch at the local bar (cold beer, chips and sausages - why not!) followed by a walk to 'the cliff' to see the sunset and (hopefully) some more elephants. Car fixed, we spent Saturday by driving to the Slave Caves in Shimoni. The car 'only' broke down twice en route and we looked briefly around where slaves were kept underground for up to 3 weeks before been shipped off to Zanzibar in the slave trade era. Day 2 in Kenya started with a trip to the coast in Diani (tourist area) to enjoy the sun, warm sea temperatures and sandy beaches.
