J: We made it to Beijing City. We visited Tiananmen Square; where clearly the protesting there never really stops and the police security is impressive, although interestingly the Chinese clearly don't see us as a risk and just usher us through without a pat down. J: We made it to Kathmandu City, the capital of Nepal after a great bus journey over a rather large mountain. We visited Durbar Square, which is an area opposite the old royal palace with over 40 temples and shrines. They were nearly built on top of each other. We went into the royal museum, which some how led into the 9 storey high temple, which hurt both our calves that were still recovering from the Poon Hill trek. J: We had a day around Pokhara, rented another scooter and went to Devi Waterfalls, which weren't huge but it had a cave, which was still warm inside. We also took another ride on the scooter to another lake and went for a spontaneous underwear swim; it was beautiful in the clear water with all the mountains around us. J: So we could have easily sneaked over the boarder to Nepal. The bus dropped us off at 4am, and as usual the Tuk Tuk drivers wanted to drive us a 10-minute walk.
