Sat 7 Sept
Beach constitutional, Busselton, Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse, shown around by Aaron, a local Cape Nat lad with almost facial hair. There were only 2 of us. There were multiple whales sounding and splashing off the Cape. Right, Humpback and one monstrous splashing way out the back that could have been a Blue.
Aaron talked us into doing the Sugarloaf while we were out this far, and it was well worthwhile. Though we didn't see any red-tailed whatsits, we appreciated the crashing waves on a pointy edge of This Great Continent.
Sun 8 Sept
Went for a drive. (It is Sunday) Thru Busso canals and then in search of Donnybrook, because She was tickled by the name. The full circuit included Capel (lunch) Mullalyup, Balingup, Nannup (adult resort, black tulips, prize-winning gumtree). By the time we got home we had to sprint for the last few rays for the sundowners in the folding-chairs. It's a punishing schedule.
We saw plenty of dairy cows (didn't spot a milking shed, but) and Angus cattle, sheep, apples, (Pink Lady are in season) vineyards and marron farms. Yep, the freshwater shrimps, you'll see a farm with multiple dams, apparently W.A Marron are a thing, according to their signage.
