This week was more training, one of the activities we had to do included a situational scavenger hunt, which meant we had to follow clues to different parts of camp and at each place was a staff member acting out a situation that we may come across at camp for example campers using their phones, homesickness and running away, it was pretty fun and actually surprising helpful, our day off this week was the only chance the whole camp get the whole day off together, most of us went to kats lake house which was about 20 minutes away and was really cute, we played drinking games and I got into a debate about why friend chicken and donuts are not an acceptable breakfast food for children! As if there was any debate! The next day we went to the mall and to the movies to watch Jurassic world which was super goo! Then finally back to camp for more training! This included the missing camper land and water drill which involved running to the courts picking up a map and having to search the highlighted area then run back and start again! It's was tough work and really hope we never have to do one for real! The water drill was even worse! We had to jump in when the alarm sounded and line up along the lake then we had to to dive down, do three arm sweeps and come back up then get ready to dive again until we found the baby doll at the bottom of the lake. It was super stressful and tiring! At the end of training week we did something called vespers where everyone was given a blue ribbon and could either stand up and say who they were giving it to or keep it for later on. You had to give it to someone who had an influence on your life or something and oh my god did it get emotional! Lots of tears and hugging and depressing stories, I along with most of the other internationals stayed quiet!
