Hi everyone,
The picture that I have put with this entry is not actually of anything we have seen, lol. There were no choices for Nevada or Arizona and as we are having trouble putting our own pics up at the moment this will have to do. If you squint and imagine the rock is red that's sort of what the Grand Canyon is like!!
We were in Las Vegas for 3 days in total and it was amazing. It was certainly great to stay in a hotel after slumming it in some of the hostels!! We stayed in the Stratosphere (the tall tower one at the end of the strip). We went up the tower on one of the days and had great views of the strip and looked in the direction of area 51. The weather was great too, we even went swimming on the roof top at sunset one day.
We went to the Grand Canyon whilst in the area. It was a very long coach journey through Nevada and Arizona, but we got to see some amazing parts of the country as well as the Hoover Dam...its pretty big! The Canyon itself was breathtaking. It is hard to sum up what you see with words but we really enjoyed our time there. I'm quite prone to tripping over so Sarah was worried the whole time that I was going to fall to my death...unlucky for her I stayed on my feet..haha!!
Ofcourse we had a little go in the casino. The first night I played some Roulette and came out with amost 4 times my original stake...however the next time I played I lost, but still came out on top. Someone said to us that you don't lose in Vegas, you just invest in the State of Nevada....I'd rather have the cash personally.
Had a good walk along the strip in the day and at night to get the full experience. Lots of neon. We watched the fountains outside the Bellagio for a long time. It was an amazing experince, especially when the balsted Viva Las Vegas over the sound system. Would definitely return to Vegas xxx
