Absolutely loving New Zealand so far. Been here two weeks already. It is speeding by but done so much already. Apart from sitting on a bus a lot of the time we have been in Christchurch, Lake Tekapo, Mount Cook, Queenstown, Franz Josef, Milford Sound, Nelson and got ferry over today to the North Island and now in Wellington.
So the down to important stuff - the bungy jump. Was so so scary but so cool. I thought I wasn't going to jump at one point at the top and had a mini freak out before getting over it and jumping, swearing and screaming the whole way down. Toyah was fearless there was no stopping her, she screamed pretty loud though! I was first to jump. Was meant to be third but because I was little I had to go second behind another little person but she completley freaked out and wouldn't jump so it was left to me to show everyone else how it was done. (Just have to mention the girl sat next to us on the computer, she is making cat meowing noises at the computer screen. Think she is talking to home on Skype and im thinking they just held her cat up or something. These are the kind of people me and Toyah have to share a room with!) Anyway back to the bungy. We were going to do a tandem bungy at first because it was the only way I was going to jump but they advised us against it so solo it was. Was really fun but so scary, well was for me, Toyah loved it. Would do it again though, maybe higher one next time! Doing a skydive some time in next few days which am so excited for. Celebrated our brave efforts over some fish and chips, beer and ice cream that afternoon in Queenstown. Queenstown is such a cool city was really sad to leave there. A lot of the places we have visited have been all about the scenery as you will see from pics we will put on when computer's get over their technical difficulties! Lake Tekapo and Milford Sound were gorgeous, especially cruise we went on in Milford, amazing. Had nice time in Christchurch too. Sorry this blog is not very descriptive, the cat girl is really putting me off! Christchurch was like being back in England apart from it was sunny. Went to Franz Josef and climbed the glacier there which was so fun. We got kitted out in all this ice gear including a very fetching bum bag to carry our shoe spikes in but I found made a very handy camera case, much to amusement of Toyah! We were only going to do half a day but they offered us some free accomodation if we paid a little extra for full day so of course we did it. Was so glad we did too because you got to go through ice tunnels and see loads more of glacier than if you just did half the day. Was pretty nackered by the end of it and we both had huge blisters because our spiky boots were too big for us. We also went on a kayaking trip yesterday around all these sandy coves which was gorgeous. Unfortunetly for Toyah we had to share a kayak. She is a pro and I have possibly the weakest arms in the world so I put all my effort in so we didn't get too far behind but think I tried too hard because a few hours after had shooting pains going down my arms then in night woke up in worst pain ever. Took some pain killers though and all good now. Think I felt a muscle in my arm too today so quite exciting. Really enjoyed kayaking though and surroundings were gorgeous. Stayed in Nelson too which is just a town but pretty nice, apart from all the snorers in our room who kept us awake. We are now in Wellington and planning our next two weeks trying to work out how we are going to fit everything in that we want to do. Wish we had more time in New Zealand, didn't know it was going to be this good. We miss you allxxxxxx
