Hey,

We have arrived safe and sound in Quito and have been out exploring the Old Town over the last couple of days. Our bodies are getting used to the high altitude quickly which is good and our hostel is lovely. Have got straight into speaking spanish as the hostel manager speaks little english and even managed to post a parcel back home in spanish (thanks angela!!!!). So all is well here. We have been exploring the very old churchs and cathedrals here. The old town is a beautiful, bustling place with mountains surrounding it.

Have been eating traditional ecuadorean food which is luch. Had a chikcne soup today which to my surprise had a chicken foot in it! nice! Have also eaten goats stew. yum, yum, yum. Topmorrow we do some more sightseeing before getting a bus to Las Toals where we shall be staying and working with an ecuadorean family on their coffee plantation. We´ll also get to some ecuadorean cooking, craft making, cheese making and cow milking. Hopefully anyway! They say that there is one computer offering internet in the village however i am dubious as to whether this will actually work or not! So you may not hear from us for two weeks. In the meantime enjoy the photos (although theyre not the best ones!) and take care!!

P.S we have also spent a couple of days in Seattle which was a cool place to visit although not as nice as Vancouver.

P.P.S the Vancouver photo´s are mainly of us riding around/swimming in Stanley Park and also going to see some Shakespeare with a backdrop of the water and the city (we saw ás you like it´).
