Our hotel is 5 star ....Shangri-la on the Marina ..Cairns we are here until Sunday. we have been on the Karunda railway today coming back on Skyrail cable car 7 klm. long it was a great trip. Dad here , my children you have to be proud of your farther, I went on the white water rapids run wooow what a trip rearly explosive the rapids rated 1to 4 i am not to sure what that meant but we lost three of the rafters one being an instructor they all got back on the rafts and we finished the run wooow do that again, the river was called the Baron river gorge ,The trip lasted about three hours . Mum back ! as we sit here the sweat is running down my face, its so hot, did you see wot happened in Melbourne the weather is very bad....snowing at the moment. Brisbane where Pat lives has had terrific storms, so arn't we the lucky ones up here in Cairns. Tomorrow we are off to Green Island for the day...going over on a boat, meals provided. hi to everyone i have done 90% of this all by myself it is good to be able to talk to you all family and friends the trip to ayres rock was rearly wonderful quite breath taking we had a tour with a aboriginal guide to tell us about some of thier history very interesting we stayed untill sunset very good, mum took lots of pictures, the hotel was rearly plush, we now feel that we needed to stay for two days , we are now in alice springs very hot it is in the 40degs we have been and seen the main sights. we went to a BBQ last night, before we arrived we had a thunderstorm the driver said that they had not had real heavy rain for some time at this time all of the rivers are dry no water at all real strange looking at rearly big and wide rivers and there is no water in them mum and Pat are next to me on the Net trying to book us a hotel room in Cairns we are rearly looking forward to seeing the great barrier reef, we went to a reptile farm yesterday and a young girl gave us a talk on the reptiles and snakes i took photos of mum holding the snake ,and a lizard.the girl also opened up one of the tanks holding two venomus snakes ,she put one on the floor and fed it a dead mouse which the snake attacked it and she said that the snake had injected poison into the mouse with the first bite quite and interesting talk. when we went to reception this morning to check out, they told us that we have a delay in our flight we now flyout at 4 30 instead of 2 30, so we came to the internet to check for hotels and to write to you. mum and Pat have just booked our hotel in Cairns it is called the Shangri-La looks very nice right on the front marina parade, We are going to stay there for three days then we will hire a car and drive down to Brisbane to Pats home,we leave Pats on the 13/02/05 for Singapore mum is at this time looking for a hotel in Singapore for us to stay in Yummmmy 5 days in Singapore The weather is at this moment quite nice as the overnight storm has cooled everything down nicccce I must say that this whole holiday so far has been rearly wonderful all of the wonderful sights experiances that we have had and seen i am realy looking forward to South Africa want to show mum to the lions Ha Ha Ha i will sign off for now as mum would like to write to you all love.. even monkey poppy dad and george,xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Mum here ,We're all booked as Dad said, Looking forward to the next part of our trip,we going back to the Hotel to see if there is any more changes to our flight. Hi everyone, we're at Alice.... hotter still here, 40 degs..we arrived yesterday and leave tomorrow for Cairns ...thank god!! its a dead and alive hole here, we're off to a outback BBq tonight to eat and see the stars. AyersRock was great wot a site and its so big !!! we realy enjoyed the sunset tour we did. It was FANTASTIC !!! got back around 8.30pm to tired for that bbq, so looking forward to this one, doing washing and catching up before we leave . will be in touch from Cairns luv Mama xxx I have a few mins to tell you about Alice there is nothing her nadda ...we filled our time going to see repetiles a date farm ...also hired a car which I will tell you about another time ...so drove the Stewart highway xxxxtime to go xxxx

Hi all, cant imagine that heat sooooo hot, hope you all enjoyed Melbourne and got to see all the sites. It was great talking to you all on Wednesday, cant believe those days have passed already.
Went over to Jamie & kerrys on thursday, me and kerry went into chelmsford and had some lunch that was nice and then picked aylss up from school.Saw sue today when i was up home she is waiting for her new arrival... any day now, the trip she was due to be going on has been cancelled, not sure why but she said she was going to leave booking anything else until later on in the year. Spoke to Sid and d*** they were away last weekend (Warner break) had a nice time, filled them in with your adventures. Hayley went up to see Laura (northampton)yesterday went in to Milton keens to club gather they had agood night she got home late this afternoon, tucked up in bed now. Opened all the mail and missing driving licience has turned up and some silly person didnt put a stamp on the orginal letter OOPS so will phone them tomorrow and see what i need to do. we are here in ayers rock arrived today from Melbourne ...the temp. is 37 degs...the hotel is super Sails of the desert, this afternoon we're going on atour to the rock, 5 hours ...had to buy fly screans for our hats, lots of flys looking for moisture around the eye's and mouth. we only have one day ...thats all we need realy. we have been told, while on the tour we must drink one litre water per hour or we will dehidrate, then tonight off we go to a BBq at another hotel if we are able..

George, to much attention to have Kathleen look at your worm. Hope the fish are biting. Kathleen,try to find the product called skin so soft. It really keeps the pesty bugs away. Later John.

I hope you and Mike are well...I know this letter is a long time coming,I am very busy, going around the world you see,I hope your logging on as much as possible,as I will be asking questions when I get back, ie wot date did I have a chinese meal ? or wot colour swimming costume( togs in OZ) did I have on 24/12/04 stuff like that. how are you settling in your new home, cant wait to see it, do you remember ,,,you invited us over to show you our Photos with me giving the commentary in different dialects...I'm learning Ozzie talk at the moment. Hello Jay & Kerry..Yes ! the photos are great, who would have thought the old gal could do all this with a computer,I amaze myself every day. I forgot about that star fish last year...she can get her leg up higher this year, you should have seen the performance...trying to do that. We only have one photo of Dads fish, it was a flathead...no not dad the fish . His rod is OK, its the worm that worries me ! All I heard while fishing ...Kathleen come and look at my worm .....or who wants to touch my worm. We are off to Melbourne tomorrow, we fly out at 8.50am staying 3 days there before we fty to Ayers rock I'm looking forward to it all, the temp. in Melbourne is 35 degs Ayers rock is 39 ..its going to be sweltering, Ed in NZ printed all the pages of the site before we left, it is amazing just how many messages have been left and I'm very glad to have all the inf. as I would not remember half of it with out this site ( thank you Debra) after Ayers rock we fly to Alice Springs 2 nights then fly to Cairns, spend a few days there..do some scuba diving....see the reef...be a starfish....when we're fed up, moter down the coast road ,head for home (Pats) I will keep in touch on our travels.not long till you see Ma & Pa ...6 weeks left..We are enjoying ourselves....its great fun. love you Jamie Mama xxxPapa xxx
