Hi everyone, we reached Phuket after a mammoth journey on Thursday - about 10 hrs plus a bus driver who didn't know the way - we stopped to ask for directions twice!! Phuket is very busy and there's plenty of other tourists about but we've enjoyed ourselves and spent lots more time on the beach! Today we took a boat trip out to Ko Phi Phi which is where 'The Beach' was filmed. It was a great day full of swimming in crystal clear water and lazing on white sand (plus some sea sickness on the way there)! We are leaving tomorrow for Hat Yai and a one night stopover before we carry on into Malaysia and to Penang, making tomorrow night out last in Thailand. We have both enjoyed Thailand but are ready to move onto our next country and experience yet another way of life. Will be in touch again soon - this time from Malaysia!!
