Hey everyone, had fun treating ourselves a bit on Kath's birthday. Our hotel had a spa which was lovely so we spent some of the day in there, then we went to a nearby restaurant for dinner. We ended up drinking sangria and eating paella - not exactly typical Malay food but hey - we liked it! Now in Melaka which is Malaysia's most historical town. Has been interesting to see what's left of all the different invasions but not sure we needed quite so long as we've given ourselves to do it. Last night we ate in Chinatown and had something similar to Satay except a bit spicier and we had to cook it ourselves!! There was loads of different meat/fish/veg to put in the sauce - the waiter picked ours so who knows what we were eating but it was lovely. Leaving for Singapore on Monday.
