Boy, that train trip makes getting up at 4:00 a.m. for sunrise at the Grand Canyon seem like fun - eh Kate? What an adventure you two are undertaking, enjoy every minute of it (and have a drink for me). I've been trying to follow you on the map, Singapore looks pretty close to the Equator, nice and warm I'll bet. We are looking forward to hearing your tales when you get here. Keep safe, have fun and keep the pictures coming. Love, Dad.

Just received your website. What cool pictures and a wonderful trip! Ken and Charollet are on a similar trip I think - they left March 7th. Not as long though - they will be back on April 1. Maybe you will run into them. That would be way cool. Someday Jim and I will get out of the USA and into another country - after school is out for me. Kate to let you know, I will forward this to Emily at MSU - she is doing great- loving every minute of it. Have a great time. HOpe to see you when you get to Detroit.

Hey Kate!!! and Rob! :) WOW!! A trip around the world!! Kate this is SO AWESOME!!! I am waayyyyy jealous!! Sadly, I am still in Michigan, and it is FREEZING! I was looking at your pictures of all those beautiful beaches, and felt very depressed! haha No, I am very happy for you, I am sure you are having the time of your life!! I see that you are coming back to Detroit, we should get together!!! I haven't seen you in forever! I am curious as to what you will be up to next! For now, I will keep checking out your website here of all your exciting travels!! You two be safe, keep taking awesome pics, and HAVE A BLAST!!! :
Aunt Anne
I'm taking a break from leaving my DNA samples (in the form of banged knuckles) on the ballisters I'm sanding, whilst cursing the carpenter who installed them. It is great to have a place where I can go and forget that Kevin is an idiot, and that the world is a wonderous place. I think it's really grand that you get to see it, and therefore so do I. It's good to know you are having a such an adventure, that's what I think life is really about...

Hey Kate & Rob, hope both of you are having the time of your life while traveling. I just got back from spring break in Miami...nice but I didn't get to ride an elephant!!! Hope all is well and that the weather is treating you nicely. Have a great trip and make it back to Detroit safely. Love to ya both! Kelli

Well, I'm very impressed with all the photos. I pity the poor elephant with you on its back! I hope the next 36 hours aren't too bad - how are you travelling? One or two items of mail have arrived here for you at home, so try and ring me as I need to know what to do with them???
Sharon, Claire & Louise have gone to the apartment, your car is safely parked underneath! It's been Red Nose Day here, so school has been hectic and everyone RED!, raised over £360.
We're all well at home and look forward to following you on your trip - can you believe your actually doing it - after the panic preparation before leaving!?
Do take care of yourselves. LOVE YOU LOADS, Mum xxxxx

Hey there - the pictures of your elephant ride are awesome. You both look like you are having a wonderful adventure. Just one question- how bad do elephants smell? Weather here is still cold and snowing. Coyotes were out last night. Stay safe...Love, Mom
Elaine & Gary
Hi to you both! I have just skimmed through your photo album and message board, WOW!
Will take more time looking through it all with Gary this weekend. xxx E & G

i would say considering its fall right now there that u guys visit the rainforest in cairns, bondi beach was a personal fav. and i think it should still be warm enough to go snorkeling on the great barrier reef also do the obvious ones like the opera house and syndeys main attrations but other that that i would say go to rainbow beach if u can, to be honest im not sure where its located but if u can find it go there the place is amazing.
lotsa love greg
