Day 1-The Inca Trail It was an early start on Monday morning when Gilbert (Puma) picked us up from our hostel in Cuzco at 5.20am! There were tons of people waiting on the jetty when we got off the boat in Iquitos. People were sticking their heads in the windows asking if we wanted this hostel or that tour. There were even kids running onto the boat to help with the luggage wanting a tip. We grabbed our luggage and got away from the crowds to get a taxi.
