Solitaire Guest Farm, May 10th - 11th A stop over at Solitaire, a great little campsite with some fun visitors, see pictures.

Swakopmund, May 7th - 10th We arrived in Swakopmund and decided it was time to stay somewhere other than in the tent, we had camped for the past 45 days which was a record for us. Thankfully it was the right decision as the weather was particularly great, it even rained and this is in a place that only received 10mm of rain a year! We spent a lot of time relaxing, eating out, and even went quad biking on the dunes which was great fun.

Skelton Coast - 6th May The drive to the coast had more amazing scenery and we really felt we were in the desert. It was hot as we headed off but as we hit the ocean the temperature dropped so there was no way we were going to swim. The campsite was very isolated, and we set-up camp with the cars being used as a wind barrier. We woke in the morning to thick fog.

Aba-Huab Community Campsite, May 4th - 6th A great little campsite on the banks of a dry river bed. On the drive there we passed through some amazing scenery, very dry with some awesome rocky outcrops. At camp a fellow camper told us about the desert elephants that were just a couple of kilometers up the river bed, this we had to see. After 2 unsuccesful drives to try and find them we were almost giving up hope. We had seen their footprints everywhere but just...
