The sound of the hippo's grunting near by was quite unnerving in the small mokoro's I'd have prefered it if our guide hadn't told us he had been overturned in the water by a hippo in the past, maybe that should have waited until we were safe on dry land again! They have amazing speed in the water and we couldn't believe how many were in the water!
