Seriously old! A man who promised god... if I survive this storm I'll build an abbey... followed through on his promise. It survived the 1500s because it was given to a family who converted it into a home - and lived there for 450 years! The last surviving member gifted it to the state in 1959 (in a fairly parlous state... but there was never any money).
