We didn't know what to expect from Dubai's gold souks. As it turns out, modern, clean, completely safe and under a big shade barrier. So outside is very warm and shaded and inside the individual stores is air-conditioned to the nth degree - an excuse to go inside for a look about every 3 shops along. Some of the gold was even more over the top than this window. More gemstones than we were expecting too.
