1676 was a seriously bad year for Sighisoara. The fire damaged or destroyed a great deal and this tower was destroyed - but rebuilt in its original form. It now holds a leather working studio and upstairs is a free museum showcasing the work of a trust devoted to using heritage restoration methods.
