Another folly!
Octagonal Gazebo. Truly this that the Earl was a bit of a LOMBARD - lots of money, but a real dick... Spent money like no one's business. Built in 1760 this spot had lovely lake views which are now a bit overgrown. A folly traditional is a building with no useful purpose - but this was used regularly for posh picnics where the staff would haul over the table, chairs, linens, crystal, food etc and then everyone else would turn up to rough it in the open air.
