Since we managed an AirBNB in Langkawi, we are, usually, Converts. It is so nice to have the kitchen and a spot separate to the bedroom to lounge about in. It's a small apartment but we have a king bed in the bedroom, a sofa and armchairs in the living room, kitchen with a gas cooker and a microwave and even a dining table and chairs. And a lift! Not bad for A$37/€25/night
