Day 76 Barcelona - 16/61 degrees.
Although Phil and I have been to Barcelona many times before, it's always a great city to explore and this time we walked everywhere, no taxi, no city bus, no hawkers, a few beggars but none worth writing about.Barcelona is split into three main areas, Ciutat Vella (the old city,) Eixample, built since the mid 19th century and Montjuic, which is mainly the recreational area including the Olympic stadium. We decided, quite by accident, to spend our time exploring Eixample. This area has very modernist Gaudi architecture and plenty of shops, unfortunately closed for Easter! Well now it's over - the last stop on our world tour. It's been fascinating and I've loved it but I'm so very ready to go home to see my family and to tell baby Eric he come out now! I'll add one more entry before we arrive in Southampton.
