Had enough driving for the day stopped. At free camping spot about 50 ks short of Barkly Homestead Very dry and desertlate they certainly need rain no dead kangaroos on the road their must not be any water around No coverage so hopefully I will publish tomorrow

Just to the Mt.Isa show the same as all country shows but no wood chop but lots of show jumping and dressage. A very multicultural community a lot more than I expected given who their local member is. As I said the smoke stacks the sky line they work 24/7. Public holiday here for the show,I will be heading off in the morning cross into the Northern Territory

Mt.Isa is a mining and smelting town they mine led and copper, the chimeley stacks dominate the sky line. On the drive today is the first time seen cattle on the side of the road so I will have to be quite aware from ow on. Plenty of dead roos on the road but they are only problem at dawn and dusk the times I do not drive

I was going to be comical today but just driven from Cloncurry to Mt.Isa breath taking I have driven The Great Ocean Road and The North Queensland Ocean Road this equals anything the ruggedness it's beauty is awe inspiring and yet humbling I showed how lucky I have led,I have seen so much and yet still overcome such beauty
