In Ho Chi Minh city, south Vietnam. Mad and dangerous city apparently, and a very stereotypical culture here...all the old people do all this weird exercises in the park. They even have Zumba in the park, so strange to watch and they have no shame in what they are doing haha. You do get approached randomly by a local who wished to improve their English.
On our first day we did two tours. The first one was the Cu Chi Tunnels where Vietnamese soldiers built tunnels to travel and dwell underground away from the Americans. Walked through the tunnel for 20 meters and that was enough, had the option to do 100 meters...no thanks. It was way too hot and too small. We went to this war museum, well i sat down for most of the time whilst Kyle and the group walked around. It was basically a load of pictures and writing on walls. I think Google would of been more informative and would of been able to sit down.
Two day tour around the Mekong Delta River was very average. Was expecting actual floating markets, full of colour and really busy. But basically it was a load of old boats selling the same fruit and veg. On the other hand the food and the hotel which was included was top notch. Its nice to leave Vietnam, as we leave our two stalkers behind, but Vietnam has been the best place so far. We only spent £230 each for 30 days which included accommodation, food, drinks, going out!
